Meet Jacob O’Neil, Your Family Nurse Practitioner

I’m Jacob O’Neil, a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner, Marine Corps veteran, husband, and father. Before entering healthcare, I served as a Marine helicopter crew chief during combat operations in Iraq and Kuwait, including casualty evacuation missions. After leaving the military, I became a nurse and worked in emergency departments, critical care, and flight nursing before becoming a nurse practitioner in 2021.

Those experiences have brought me alongside people during some of their most difficult moments. They have taught me to stay calm, pay attention, and remember that every person has a life and a story beyond the immediate medical problem. My work in rural clinics and correctional healthcare has deepened my commitment to treating people with dignity, whatever their circumstances.

My wife, Wendy, and I founded Wellspring Healthcare to bring that commitment to Roswell and the surrounding communities. We are building the kind of practice where you can speak openly, ask questions, and take an active part in your care.

My approach combines careful medical assessment with practical conversations about the things that shape health: sleep, movement, nutrition, stress, relationships, and the demands of everyday life. A treatment plan should be medically sound and realistic for the person who has to live with it.

I will explain what I know, be honest about what remains uncertain, and involve other professionals when their expertise would benefit you. Whether you are here for prevention, a new concern, or help managing a long-term condition, my goal is to help you understand your health and move forward with greater confidence.
